Wil J Gaitan
Founding Member
Wil has worked for more than 35 years with leading consulting firms in the global total rewards space while based in Asia, Europe, New York and Chicago.
He has experience on-site working in more than 50 countries providing global consulting advice to many top 100 companies as well as to multilateral organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and the African Development Bank.
Wil is an actuary with US credentials (FCA, ASA, MAAA, EA) as well as holding the CCP designation with WorldatWork.
Marjorie Gaitan
Founding Member
Marjorie is accredited as a Certified Compensation Professional and Global Remuneration Professional through WorldatWork. Marjorie brings 20 years of experience in communications and as a Human Resources leader for a nonprofit organization with global profile.
She specializes in total rewards benchmarking, technical writing, and cross-cultural communication. She earned a Master’s degree in Communications and French studies from New York University and has lived and worked in France, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands. She brings benefit management insights from within an organization.
Renata De Leers
Principal and
Global Consulting Actuary
Renata is a global consulting actuary with more than 35 years' experience addressing regulatory, actuarial and operational aspects for insurance and financial security systems. She has extensive pension experience with the African Development Bank, United Nations Joint Pension Fund, and African social security institutions.
Renata focuses on implementing international standards and sound governance principles for financial sustainability and consumer protection in conventional and emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
Renata is the Executive Director of Actuaries Without Borders, IAA Section, and is a member of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium.
Eddie Franco

Eddie has over 48 years of consulting experience, advising companies on Global Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures, as well as New Country Entry. His areas of expertise are within Total Rewards, including the analysis and design of global and local rewards, retirement, health & welfare and global mobility programs.
Eddie has worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies, private equity buyers, and employers of all sizes around the world, Governments in Hong Kong, India, and the PRC, and multilateral development organizations in the U.S., Africa, and Asia.
Miguel Santos

Miguel is a South African born global consulting actuary with more than 24 years’ experience working with leading consulting firms as well as European Union institutions.
He has provided global consulting advice to many top 100 companies while based in Brussels and Chicago. Miguel has experience consulting in more than 20 countries.
Miguel has credentials as a qualified actuary from the Belgian and Portuguese Institutes of Actuaries as well as holding the CCP and GRP designations with WorldatWork.
Douglas Carey

Douglas is a global consulting actuary with more than 40 years’ experience working with global clients and NGOs and governments in Asia, Eastern Europe and former Soviet countries. Doug has worked with governments in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Armenia on their redesign and refinancing of their Social Security programs and was a key member of the team that designed the Hong Kong MPF in the mid 1990s.
Doug is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a US Enrolled Actuary. He also has leadership roles within two Sections of the International Actuarial Association.
Rachelle Arcebal

Rachelle is a senior compensation and benefits specialist with more than 30 years of experience serving multinational clients in the Asia/Pacific region.
She has worked with multilateral entities such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Asian Development Bank as well as with leading consulting firms in the Global Total Rewards space.
Rachelle specializes in market-competitive benefits strategy, compensation and benefits benchmarking, and alternative reward programs to attract and retain talent. Rachelle is based in Manila, the Philippines.
Julio Galhardo

Julio is a senior consulting actuary with more than 40 years of experience working with multinational companies based in Brazil and with the largest public pension funds in Brazil. He is an expert in all areas of pension consulting.
He has consulted for more than 150 companies, domestic Brazilian companies and multinationals with a Brazilian presence.
Julio is an actuary with Brazilian credentials based in São Paulo. He speaks English and Portuguese.
Wilfried Van Messem

Wilfried is a global consulting actuary with more than 30 years’ experience with M&A, global actuarial and benefits consulting work in most European countries.
Wilfried has provided advice to several Top 100 companies and organizations such as EU directories and the African Development Bank.
Wilfried holds master degrees in mathematics and actuarial science and is a member of the Belgian Institute of Actuaries. He is based in Brussels.
